A rim seat (also called a rimming chair, rim chair, ass-eating seat or smotherbox) is a raised seat with an open center. The top sits, the bottom slides underneath, and nobody's neck or knees pay for it afterwards. We've been building ours by hand since the Tiny Tot launched several years ago, and the questions in our inbox haven't changed much: which model, which pipe length, will it hold me, will it fit in a suitcase, and what does the box look like when it shows up. This guide answers all of that.
How a rim seat works
Every Twisted Jezebel seat is the same basic machine: a seat with a hole, four iron flanges screwed and bonded to the underside with industrial strength adhesive, and four threaded iron pipes that screw into the flanges as legs. The pipes unscrew for travel and swap between every model we make, so a seat you buy today will fit the pipes you already own. Legs are stress-tested, rust-resistant coated iron, and every seat is rated to at least 265 lb, with the new Rim Ryder coming in at 300 lb.
The four models
| Model | Seat | Size | What it's for | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tiny Tot | Fortified wood marine seat | 13" x 13" x 1.5" | Smallest rim seat made. Fits a backpack or our messenger tote. | $139.99 |
| Big Rim Cushioned | Bemis soft vinyl cushion, Onyx or Snow | 15" x 15.5" x 2" | Long sessions. The cushion is why the top can sit for hours. | $149.99 |
| Rim Ryder Open Front | Solid resin | 14.5" x 14.75" x 1.75" | Open front, so everything hangs free and the bottom has access to all of it. Rated to 300 lb. | $149.99 |
| Dick Dangler | Bemis soft vinyl cushion, elongated | 14" x 17.5" x 2" | Cushioned like the Big Rim, longer and narrower, with room for cock and balls to drop through. | $169.99 |
Tiny Tot: for travel
If the seat needs to disappear into a tiny bag, this is the one. At 13 inches square and an inch and a half thick it's the smallest rim seat on the market, and it still carries the same 265 lb as its bigger siblings. Pair it with the washed canvas messenger tote, which holds the seat and four pipes in the zip compartment and leaves the front pocket for lube and cleanup. Hard seat, so it's better for sessions measured in minutes than hours.
Big Rim Cushioned: for comfort
Our "cushy for that tushy" seat. The Bemis vinyl cushion is the difference between a top who taps out when their legs go numb and one who settles in. Under five pounds, fits most 21-inch carry-ons, comes in Onyx or Snow. If you're buying one seat for home use, buy this one.
Rim Ryder Open Front: for access
An open front seat was our most requested product for years. The Rim Ryder's U-shaped front lets the top's cock and balls hang completely free, which matters if the bottom wants to work both ends or the top likes to be handled while they're sitting. We moved it to solid resin in December 2025 (earlier runs were wood), which raised its weight limit to 300 lb. Same pipes, same case as the Big Rim.
Dick Dangler: cushion plus access
Not fully open like the Rim Ryder, but the elongated hole gives the top's cock and balls room to drop through while keeping the cushion under their thighs. It's the seat for people who want the Big Rim's comfort and more of the top within reach. Comes in Snow.
Why content creators film with them
Our seats are the ones you see in the biggest creators' clips, and it comes down to four things: they're built to last, every seat runs on the same pipes, they pack into a carry-on, and the open sides give the camera a clean side angle that boxed-in seats and inflatables can't offer.
Picking a pipe length
Pipes come in 10, 12, 14 and 18 inches. Ten-inch pipes put the top at a comfortable height for a bottom lying flat on their back. Twelve inches gives more headroom and is what most content creators film with. Fourteen and eighteen raise the seat for camera angles, taller bottoms, or use over a pillow or bolster. Most first-time buyers do fine with 10s; if you can't decide, the "both" option saves money over buying a second set later, and extra pipes are $29.99 to $54.99 on their own.
Weight limit
Every model is rated to 265 lb, and the resin Rim Ryder to 300 lb. That number is the seat, the flanges and the pipes together, on a flat floor with all four legs down. Carpet is fine. Don't set one up on a bed or anything that lets a leg sink.
Travel and storage
Ours are the only rim seats that pack this small. Every other seat we know of has its leg mounts welded to the seat itself, so the seat alone is 7 to 10 inches deep before you've put anything else in the bag. Unscrew our pipes and you're carrying a slab under two inches thick.
The Tiny Tot and messenger tote go in a backpack. The Big Rim, Rim Ryder and Dick Dangler all fit a 21-inch carry-on with the pipes unscrewed, or go in our padded nylon carry case ($54.99 to $59.99) with a shoulder strap and a waterproof inner layer. Going through TSA? It's a camping seat.
What arrives at your door
Seats ship in a plain brown box with nothing on the outside. For customs they're classified as iron and wood furniture (harmonized code 940360), which some countries do charge duty on, so check your country's rules before ordering internationally. Every seat is made to order and takes 3 to 5 days to build depending on demand, then ships economy. Rush shipping is available at checkout and also moves your seat to the front of the build queue. Custom color work takes longer and we'll confirm timing by email.
Keeping it clean
Vinyl and resin wipe down with soap and water or any toy-safe cleaner. The Tiny Tot's wood seat is marine-grade and sealed, so the same applies; just don't leave it soaking. Pipes are coated against rust but will last longer dried off before storage. Put a rimming towel or fluid proof rimming mat underneath and cleanup is mostly throwing something in the wash.
Already own pipes?
Returning customers can buy any seat on its own, no pipes, through the Just the Seat listing from $119.99. Every model shares the same flange spacing, so one set of pipes runs the whole collection.
Rim seats versus the alternatives
Inflatable rim chairs are cheap and light but they bounce, they puncture, and a heavier top deflates the experience in every sense. Welded steel frames are rock solid and cost two to three times as much, and they don't go in a suitcase. Ours sit in the middle: solid under load, under five pounds, and half the price of the heavy frames.
