There are five rim seats people ask us about by name: the Mister B inflatable, Fort Troff's Ready Rimmer, the JimSupport chair, the RED stainless seat out of the UK, and whatever Boyzshop is carrying this season. Whatever you call them, rim seat, rimming chair, queening chair, kinging chair, here's how they stack up against our own handmade rim seats, every one of which is built by hand for the person who ordered it, with the specs pulled from each maker's own product page so you can check our work. We'll say up front where we lose, because there is one place we do.

Mister B Inflatable Rim Seat
Clear vinyl, twelve air columns, inflates in a few minutes, and at its €129 sale price it costs about the same as our Tiny Tot. That's the whole case for it: cheap and light. The case against it is that it's full of air. Air bounces, air gives under load, and vinyl punctures. The product page doesn't publish a weight limit or a height. If you want a seat for one trip a year, it does the job. If you want something you'll still be using in three years, spend the extra ten dollars on a wood or resin seat.
Fort Troff Ready Rimmer
Steel tube frame, thickly padded vinyl seat, rubber feet, three height settings, $129, and Fort Troff's page says the cushion is the best they've sat on. We don't argue with that; the padding is excellent. Two things keep it off our list. The lowest setting is 13.5 inches, which is a long way up for a bottom lying flat on the floor and too high for most people under a sling. And the frame runs a steel post through the space under the seat, right where you'd point a camera or set a mirror for the side angle. It weighs 12 pounds and breaks down, but the legs are welded to the seat frame, so even apart it packs to roughly six inches or more, nothing like a slab you slide into a carry-on, and the bag is sold separately. Sold out at the time of writing.
JimSupport Rim Chair
The granddaddy. JimSupport builds industrial-grade steel play furniture, and their rim chair is the one to buy when you need a seat rated well past 300 pounds. The quality is excellent and the chair will outlive you. The trade-offs are the same two as the Fort Troff: a center leg under the seat, and a lowest height around 13 inches. The chair starts at $225 on JimSupport's site, with rocker legs, T-legs and the carry bag ($85) sold separately. This is a seat that lives in one room, and it's very good at that.
RED Stainless Steel Rim Seat (UK)
Medical-grade 304 stainless frame, powder-coated steel seat halves, leather cushion, D-rings on the base for a collar, three heights from 260 to 300 mm (about 10.2 to 11.8 inches). It dismantles into a two-piece frame and weighs 5 kg boxed. For what you get it's excellent, and the 10-inch floor height is right. Where it loses to ours is comfort and travel: the seat is a curved steel shell with a thin leather cover rather than a cushion, and a two-piece tubular frame is not low-profile however you pack it. Pricing isn't on the site; you order and they quote, which for a US buyer also means shipping from the UK and customs.
Boyzshop
Boyzshop is a reseller rather than a maker. Their sex-stool collection runs from the Ready Rimmer at $128.98 (the same Fort Troff seat) up through the Face Rider Rimming Chair at $363.98 and a Kinging Chair at $373.32, with benches and sex-machine combos past $600. The Face Rider is a padded wood-and-metal chair, not a travel seat, and nothing on the page states a height or a weight limit. If you want a piece of furniture, this is where to look. If you want a rim seat, you're paying two and a half times our price for something that doesn't leave the house.
Where we lose
Weight rating. Our seats are rated to 265 pounds, and the resin Rim Ryder to 300. The JimSupport chair is rated for considerably more. If you need a seat that holds more than 300 pounds, buy the JimSupport; it's the right tool and we'll say so. Ours are built for everyone who doesn't need more than that.
Where we win
Everything else that matters for a seat you actually use.
Every seat we sell is made by hand, to order, for the person buying it. Nothing else in the table is. That's not a marketing line; it changes what you can ask for. When a customer wanted his Rim Ryder built with the lid left on, we built it with the lid left on. Custom colors, pipe lengths, a seat-only order to go with pipes you already have: you're talking to the people who make it, so the answer is usually yes.

A 10-inch floor height, which none of the steel-frame seats offer and only RED matches. No center post, so the camera and the mirror get the whole side view. Under five pounds, every model. Pipes that unscrew so the seat packs to between 1.5 and 3 inches thick and goes in a backpack or a carry-on, which no other seat in the table does. A cushioned seat (Big Rim and Dick Dangler) or a hard, ultra-compact one (Tiny Tot), your choice, plus the Rim Ryder if you want the open front the heavy-duty chairs offer in a seat you can carry. And a price between $139.99 and $169.99 that undercuts everything in the table except the inflatable and the Fort Troff, both of which give something up to get there.

We stand behind it
A spec table tells you what a seat is. It doesn't tell you what happens when the box arrives and something isn't right. Our products carry a 4.9-star average from more than 1,000 ratings on this site, and Twisted Jezebel is rated 4.8 out of 5, "Excellent," on Trustpilot, with 94 percent of reviewers giving five stars. That isn't because nothing ever goes sideways; it's because when it does, we fix it. Every seat is made by the people answering your email, we aim to have the best customer service in the business, and we'd rather lose a sale than sell you the seat that isn't right for you. Read the reviews, then decide.
Our rim seat buyer's guide walks through the four models, pipe lengths and travel cases. See them all in the Rim Seats collection.
Prices and specifications are taken from each maker's website in October 2026 and will change. Packed depth for the Fort Troff is our estimate; their page doesn't state one. Mister B, Fort Troff, JimSupport, RED and Boyzshop are trademarks of their respective owners; we have no affiliation with any of them.
